Swietenia Mahogany

Mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni) is a large tree. Its wood is mainly used for making furniture and musical instruments particularly for drum-making. Its flowers are inconspicuous but the fruits look like large woody pods which split from the base upward when matured releasing flat, winged seeds.
